Oviraptor (14567)

The Oviraptor lived over 75 million years ago at the time of the Velociraptor.

The first skeleton discovered of it was lying on a nest of eggs. It was thus long assumed that it wished to steal the eggs. That's why its scientific name means egg thief. Now we know that it was a brooding parent.
